You have caused the blind to see
we have blinded them again
with our man-made laws and creeds
eager, ready to condemnnow we plead before Your throne
power sings a siren tune
we’ve been throwing heavy stones
lead us back to life in Youwe’re a valley of dry bones
lead us back to life in You
we’ve become a talent show
lead us back to life in You
we’ve been throwing heavy stones
lead us back to life in You

Come out 7:30pm this Friday, September 21st at the BFIT for FRIDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP!
This Fall, our theme will be “How The Gospel Changes Everything” - starting with the purpose of our lives and moving into more practical areas of our lives like relationships, finances, studies, and work.
Note: All of the Friday Night Fellowship gathering dates are in the “FNF” link above!
What are you most “thirsty” for today? What is your greatest longing? Is it moving you towards or away from God?
Consider taking a moment before eating physical food at lunch to ask God to be filled and quenched spiritually.
We are praying for you!

Joining a community group is often the most helpful and effective way for young adults to get connected at Cornerstone. Community groups are small groups of approximately 8 to 12 young adults who gather to study God’s Word for the purposes of living out God’s Word in the context of relationships with others.

This year, we are hoping to offer a total of 7 different community groups throughout the greater Boston area and on various days of the week. While we hope that there is a community group that is “convenient” for you to join, there may not be one available/open nearby. Please note that any “good” community group is only a result of every member being committed to one another and loving one another sacrificially! Some of the groups that have experienced the greatest growth have been ones where members commuted several miles to attend.

Please use the online form to sign-up to be part of a community group for the upcoming year!
If you have any questions, please e-mail HoJin!

Last Monday, a group of young adults from Cornerstone (and several outside of Cornerstone) gathered at Smith Field to enjoy the weather, eat good food, and play some sports. We hope to have more gatherings like this one, so that we can spend time with each other and get to know each other deeper! Please be the on the lookout for future events!

The day was planned by just a few people who coordinated the food and sports equipment. We would like to encourage and challenge all of you to become “hosts” by providing places and times for fellow young adults to spend time with one another. Don’t wait for someone else to do the planning; you might be that “someone else”!

Oftentimes, we label any gathering of believers as “fellowship”. Let’s foster environments, regardless of where we are and what we’re doing, that praise our God and push one another towards greater love and devotion to Him! It can be as simple as lifting a prayer before and/or after hanging out or having even one meaningful conversation with someone at a group event.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
Let us “consider” more often and more deeply! For His glory and for our joy!
The fact is that the world expects us to be different; and this idea that you can win the world by showing that after all you are very similar to it, with scarcely any difference at all, or but a very slight one, is basically wrong not only theologically but even psychologically.

A 2009 letter to non-believers written by Shane Claiborne on Esquire Magazine begins like this:
To all my nonbelieving,sort-of-believing, and used-to-be-believing friends: I feel like I should begin with a confession. I am sorry that so often the biggest obstacle to God has been Christians. Christians who have had so much to say with our mouths and so little to show with our lives. I am sorry that so often we have forgotten the Christ of our Christianity.
Forgive us. Forgive us for the embarrassing things we have done in the name of God.
